Traditionally, people might have thought that cushy office jobs paid more than working in food service, but TikToker @eatlovelivewithsusu says that’s no longer the case.
She even told her followers that she would totally consider working at Panda Express after researching the conditions and pay compared to her office job.
According to Salary.com, Panda Express pays kitchen staff an average of $32 per hour.
And when she compared the conditions to office jobs, it was really surprising!
She said: “When you said you were done with food service, but office jobs pay $18-$22 and Panda Express pays $32…”
Food retailing lost staff during the pandemic and moved to sectors that paid more.
But now companies are hitting back and paying their staff more to keep them!
Sounds tasty, right?! I’m happy to take an extra salary from that boosted salary of a nice job!

I mean, it could be worth it.
I can imagine that it is also less stressful sometimes.
