PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio – The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver killed in a Sunday afternoon crash along Route 23 as Jerri L. Braswell, 32, of Columbus.
The single-vehicle crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, near the intersection of Route 23 and Weigand Road, just north of South Bloomfield.
According to investigators, a 2023 Mazda MZ6 traveling northbound on Route 23 veered off the road, rolled over several times, and ejected both the driver and one of the two passengers. Mrs Braswell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two young passengers, ages 9 and 11, were transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Authorities report that both children are in stable condition.
The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
