Great adventure ready for Fright Fest
Employees at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson are preparing the park for Fright Fest, which opens this weekend.

Is the summer heat wave making you miss the crisp fall air? Are you thinking about Halloween while sitting by the pool?
Look no further than Six Flags Great Adventure to get you in the mood for the spooky season, with a new attraction for Fright Fest 2024: a “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” house.
Haunted houses dedicated to ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Army of the Dead’, ‘SAW’, ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ are being revamped.
More money was invested in Fright Fest than ever before, said Chief Fright Officer Edithann Ramey.
“When (fans) talk about immersive, it really has to be … the experience of Halloween … and pushing things to the extreme,” Ramey said.
During the day, kids can enjoy Boo Fest, a family-friendly experience with trick-or-treating, face painting and wandering through mazes.

Fright Fest Six Flags Haunted Houses
- SAW: Welcome to the ultimate survival test. This new experience plunges guests into the depraved depths of Jigsaw’s twisted empire. Guests will have to rely on each other to solve gruesome puzzles and endure torturous ordeals before time runs out.
- The conjuring universe: Get ready for a tour of the Warrens’ most chilling and gruesome cases, including those that inspired ‘The Conjuring’, ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Nun’. In each realm, encounters with cursed artifacts make you the target of the spell.
- Stranger things: The students of the Hawkins School District decide to work together to create some harmless Halloween fun for their community, but things are quickly turned upside down and turn into something much darker.
- Army of the Dead: The city of Las Vegas is on lockdown after a recent virus outbreak and survivors must find an escape while battling the undead.
- Trick’r Treat: Enter a dark and twisted Candy Trail nightmare on a jack-o-lantern lit path full of supernatural encounters that tap into your deepest fears. Using only a blood-stained candy bag, learn the laws of Halloween before entering a world where tricks rule treats.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Guests are cast as visitors to Harlow following in the footsteps of the influencers looking to revive the town, but their arrival leads to a stunning and deadly secret being revealed.
