A West End woman had a rude awakening this morning when laughing youths in a convoy of stolen cars burst into her home and crashed into her caravan.
Police are investigating after a house on Baxter St, West End, was broken into at around 4am on Friday.
According to initial police reports, the 46-year-old resident was woken up by the sound of breaking glass and the revving of a car engine.
As she rushed to her window, she saw a stolen car back into her trailer, causing a loud crash that echoed through the quiet neighborhood.
The suspected stolen car did not remain at the scene and fled with two other cars, which were also believed to be stolen.
The woman soon discovered the extent of the youths’ daring crime spree.
While she was sleeping, the intruders had broken into her home and taken her work bag and laptop.
A concerned neighbor said the woman was left an “absolute wreck” after the burglary.
“The entire street came running towards the little larvae but missed them (sic), only to be laughed at as they bumped into each other before fleeing,” an online post reads.
