Job description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position that has arisen in our organization.
Duties and responsibilities
- Checks vehicles for defects, records findings, reports defects found on vehicles and refers for maintenance as necessary.
- Maintains records of the maintenance of commercial vehicles.
- Takes vehicles to approved service providers for repair or maintenance.
- Performs pre-trip inspections.
- Maintains regulations and standards by maintaining policy data such as ZBC, ZINARA and insurance.
- Ensures that the vehicles are clean and presentable.
- Ensures that all deliveries are signed and delivered to the correct recipient.
- Delivers documents and other supplies to desired destinations before deadline.
- Ensures that the organization’s equipment and furniture are transported to the necessary locations.
- Ensures that the company vehicles are refueled.
- Informs supervisor of upcoming compliance due dates (e.g. ZINARA, ZBC, insurance)
- Ensures that safety measures are taken when managing employees.
Qualifications and experience
- Must have 5 O’Levels.
- Valid class 1 driver’s license, plus defensive driving.
- Valid health certificate.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational/coordinating skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
