Woman Attacked by Wolves While Jogging in Zoo EnclosureWoman Attacked by Wolves While Jogging in Zoo Enclosure A woman has been hospitalized after being attacked by wolves while jogging in an animal enclosure at a zoo near Paris last weekend. The incident occurred at Thoiry Zoo and Safari Park, approximately 50 kilometers west of Paris. The 37-year-old victim, who was staying at the zoo’s tourist accommodations, was jogging on Sunday morning in an area normally restricted to vehicles and where animals roam freely when she was attacked by three wolves. The woman sustained injuries to her neck, calf, and back, according to Versailles prosecutor Maryvonne Caillibotte. It is unclear how the woman gained access to the animal enclosure, but Caillibotte declined to specify whether it was due to a mistake or inadequate signage. Zoo staff rescued the woman after hearing her cries for help and rushed her to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Wow Safari Thoiry, founded in 1968, houses 1,500 animals on approximately 370 hectares of land. Its enclosures allow visitors to experience close encounters with animals such as arctic wolves. The woman’s identity and current condition have not been released. The incident is under investigation by authorities.
