He spotted a glint of something metallic, and upon closer inspection, he realized it was a firearm. Suspicious, Remington informed the city authorities, who dispatched officers to investigate. The officers found a backpack containing the firearm and other items near the tree line. A search of the area also revealed a stolen motorcycle hidden in the bushes. Through further investigation, the police linked the backpack and motorcycle to a man named Terry Lee Moore, who was wanted on domestic violence charges. Moore was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody at the Wagoner County Jail. Broken Arrow’s officials expressed their gratitude to Remington for his quick thinking and reporting, which led to the capture of a dangerous fugitive. Remington’s actions demonstrated the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in ensuring public safety.
BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. (KTUL) — A Broken Arrow truck driver is being recognized for speaking up when he noticed something on his route.
On Monday, June 24, Will Remington picked up a load of farmland and delivered it to a road construction project in Events Park.
The city said he travels Washington Street regularly as he works on infrastructure for the new Sunset and Broken ARrow amphitheater project.
But that day he saw something glistening in the tree line of an empty field near the campus of Northeastern State University-Broken Arrow.
The city of Broken Arrow said thanks to Remington, a man wanted on domestic violence charges is now in custody at the Wagoner County Jail.
