Health Minister’s Inquiry State Health Minister Veena George has also sought an explanation from the health department director regarding the filming in the emergency department. The hospital was reportedly portrayed as a private institution in the film. Film’s Production Status The film’s shooting had been ongoing for two days at Angamaly Taluk Hospital, a vital healthcare facility for the poor. The Commission’s action has potentially halted the film’s production while awaiting the explanatory report.

Committee member VK Beenakumari registered a case himself based on media reports and directed the district medical officer of Ernakulam and the director of Angamaly Taluk Hospital to submit an explanatory report within seven days.
The Commission said in a statement that the film crew had dimmed the lights and imposed restrictions in the emergency room, while about 50 people, including actors, were present during filming.

“Space in the emergency department is limited. A patient who came in with a critical condition could not even reach the emergency department. No one was allowed through the main entrance. The crew instructed the patients and bystanders to remain quiet during filming. ,” the statement further said.
The shooting had been going on for two days at the hospital, which serves as a vital health care facility for the poor, the Commission said, adding that the action was taken based on visual media reports. The hospital was portrayed in the film as a private institution, the report said.
Meanwhile, State Health Minister Veena George also asked the health department director to explain why a film was being shot in the emergency department of Angamaly Taluk Hospital.
