The workshop, conducted at the Upgraded Middle School in Tangrain, focused on the importance of social responsibility in combating drug abuse. Abhay Kumar Dwivedi, Development Officer of Potka Block, emphasized the prevalence of drug use among youth and its detrimental effects on individuals, families, and communities. The students were also equipped with knowledge on measures to protect themselves against lightning and encouraged to contribute to creating a drug-free society. In addition to the workshop, Tangrain School has launched a special class for Navodaya and Netarhat entrance exam preparation, inaugurated by Block Development Officer Abhay Kumar Dwivedi. This initiative aims to provide students with the necessary support and guidance to excel in these competitive examinations. The event was attended by students, teachers, parents, school management members, and social workers, including Jaihari Singh Munda, Ujjwal Kumar Mandal, Bhola Nath Sardar, Dusru Shabar, Parvati Manjhi, Dulali Bhagat, and Laxmi Karmakar. Their participation demonstrates the commitment of the school and the local community to providing a safe and supportive environment for the students.

JAMSHEDPUR – An awareness workshop under the Drug Free Jharkhand campaign was organized at Upgraded Middle School, Tangrain.
Addressing the students, school management, parent committee and local social workers, Abhay Kumar Dwivedi, Development Officer of Potka Block, stressed that addiction has become a social disease.
He stated that the rapid increase in drug use among youth has become a common problem.
Substance use is not only a serious problem for users, but also causes several problems for their families and communities.
He emphasized the responsibility of creating a drug-free society and urged everyone to contribute to this cause.
During the workshop, the students were also informed about measures to protect themselves against lightning.
Special class inaugurated
During the event, the Block Development Officer inaugurated a special class for Navodaya/Netarhat entrance exam preparation initiated by Principal Arvind Kumar Tiwari.
Students, teachers, parents committee members, school management members and teachers like Jaihari Singh Munda and social workers like Ujjwal Kumar Mandal, Bhola Nath Sardar, Dusru Shabar, Parvati Manjhi, Dulali Bhagat and Laxmi Karmakar participated in the workshop.
