EZEISI DIKEEZEISI DIKE The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, has in the past two years spread infrastructure projects across the 21 local government areas in the state. The Governor has also revamped the moribund education sector in the state through the employment of over 5,000 teachers and settlement of salary arrears of staff of the state-owned tertiary institutions as well as regular payment of teachers salaries. The CEO, Anambra Media Excellence Awards, Dr. Chuma-Odili Harris alias Ogene Igbo, made this known on Saturday during a meeting with the leadership of the Anambra State League of Veteran Journalists at his country home in Ogbunike. Ogene Igbo described Governor Soludo as a selfless leader, who entered politics with the sole aim of saving the state and restoring its lost glory. “Governor Soludo is a selfless leader whose interest is to rescue Ndi Anambra from extreme poverty. In the last two years, the Governor has spread infrastructural facilities across the 21 local government areas in the state. He has restored the hitherto moribund health and revived education sectors. He has also ensured regular payment of salaries of employees both at the state and local government levels and pensioners in the state,” Ogene said. He said Soludo’s respect and love for journalists was clearly reflected in his support for the continuation of the biggest annual media event called Anambra Media Excellence Awards AMEA. Ogene called on the people of the state to continue to support the programmes and activities of the state government, assuring them that Soludo would continue to provide good governance and prioritize the welfare of the downtrodden. Ogene Igbo urged journalists in the state to continue to inform the people of the state on the differences between the current administration and the previous administrations in the state. In their separate remarks, veteran journalist Ngozi Emedolibe thanked Ogene Igbo for setting up an independent media support group known as Soludo Independent Media Support, noting that this would help boost media support for the hardworking governor. He thanked Governor Soludo for his support to journalists in the state. The Soludo Independent Media Support Crew was specifically set up by Dr. Chuma-Odili Harris (Ogene Igbo) to ensure the continued support of journalists in the state for the administration of Governor Soludo. The official press launch of Soludo Independent Media Support (SIMS) will hold on July 16, 2024 at the Double Bliss Hotel & Suites, Udoka Estate, Awka, Anambra State.
