This initiative aims to provide free swimming lessons to underprivileged children and adults on the island. “Drowning is a preventable tragedy that has claimed too many lives in our community,” said Roy Buan, founder and executive director of Amphibious Aquatics. “Through this initiative, we hope to empower our residents with the life-saving skill of swimming.” The Drown-Free Guåhan Initiative offers swimming classes at various locations across the island, including public pools and the beach. Classes are tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Registration is now open for the summer session, which begins on June 12 and runs until August 11.
