Last week, the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) hosted international experts at a plenary meeting of the ISO Technical Committee to promote the development of standards for the sterilization of healthcare products.
The event took place during the week at the Galway City Campus of Atlantic Technological University.
Standards play a key role in the quality assurance and sterility assurance processes in medical technology (MedTech).
Galway is home to a wide variety of companies in the MedTech sector, including multinationals and SMEs.
This adds to Ireland’s MedTech sector, which includes over 300 companies, employing over 40,000 people.
