A TEENAGER has died in a river while celebrating the end of his university exams.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are investigating the sudden, unexplained death of a 19-year-old man who tragically died in the water at Port Meadow, Oxford, on Friday 21 June.

“Officers and other emergency services arrived on the scene. The man was taken to hospital for treatment, but unfortunately died later.

‘Officers are investigating this incident and are working with the coroner.

“At this time there are no indications of third party involvement.”
