Think of a sturdy pair of jeans… what comes to mind? For most, it’s probably Levi’s. As the first pair of jeans, Levi’s embodies classic American style. It’s become ubiquitous and you can’t do without that kind of marketing. But to stay relevant, collaborations with other IPs are essential. From Mickey Mouse to The SimpsonsYou name it, Levi’s has worked with them all. Like McLaren.

So when the opportunity arose to collaborate with McLaren, why not jump at the chance? Since its first Formula 1 race in 1966, McLaren has won 20 Formula 1 World Championships; 184 Formula 1 Grands Prix; the Indianapolis 500 three times and the 24 Hours of Le Mans on its first attempt. With that kind of track record, McLaren is hoping to strike gold with this collection with Levi’s.
Kicking things off is the cropped, boxy fit Racing Jacket. This piece captures the essence of McLaren Racing’s vintage era. It features chain stitch embroidery on the back, twill tape at the cuffs and hem. The Racing Suit has a slightly dropped crotch and a relaxed fit with a straight leg, and showcases vintage-inspired patches and a crackle print that runs down the right leg. Both the Racing Jacket and Racing Suit come in a light wash paired with a co-branded embossed vegan tanned leather patch.
If the gloves fit
To channel the spirit of McLaren founder Bruce McLaren, look no further than the Tricolour Racing Gloves. Crafted from fine Italian leather and featuring a Levi’s snap-button shaft, these gloves feature an embroidered signature and McLaren logo. Inspired by vintage McLaren Racing posters, they feature colours from the classic McLaren colour palette and are perforated for much-needed breathability – because clammy hands? Ugh.

Heritage 501 and Heritage Trucker
The Heritage 501 Jeans scream “you’re-cute,” as Kendall Jenner once complimented her mother. The left back pocket is replaced with a shadow pocket in a cackle print, topped with a red tape welt zipper pocket. While the cropped and boxy Heritage Trucker comes in a medium wash and pintucks at the elbows, with the front zipper accented with red tape.
Paying homage to the classic McLaren cars of the 80s, both the Jeans and Heritage Trucker feature vintage-inspired patches and striking red co-branded back patches.

Constructors Tee and Racing Bandana
If you’re on the hunt for a tee to rock at this year’s Formula 1 in Singapore but want to stand out with a cooler and decidedly more stylish look, opt for the Constructors Tee. It features a graphic on the front that shows off an 80s McLaren race car.
