The Bruins will kick off their campaign in Florida, where they will face the Florida Panthers, who hoisted the Stanley Cup in 2024. The Bruins will make their home opener on October 10th against the Montreal Canadiens, their first of three head-to-head matchups against their historic rivals. Notably, the team will make their inaugural trip to Utah on October 19th to face the former Arizona Coyotes, now known as Utah Hockey Club. December 1st marks the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ first game, which they played and won against the Montreal Maroons in 1924. The team will commemorate the occasion by hosting the Canadiens at TD Garden. The Bruins will also have several notable reunions this season. Goalie Linus Ullmark will face his former team, the Ottawa Senators, on November 9th. Former Bruins Danton Heinen, Derek Forbort, and Jake DeBrusk will return to Boston with the Vancouver Canucks on November 26th. Matt Grzelcyk, who played his first seven NHL seasons with the Bruins, will face his former team when the Penguins visit TD Garden on Black Friday. The Bruins’ most heated rivalry in recent years has been with the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom they defeated in game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs. The two teams will clash four times in the upcoming regular season: October 26th in Boston, November 5th in Toronto, January 4th in Toronto, and February 25th in Boston. February will see the introduction of the 4 Nations Face-off Tournament, featuring the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland. The Bruins will not play from February 9th to 22nd as a result of this tournament. TD Garden will host four games, including the championship game on February 20th. The Bruins’ longest road trips this season will both be five games. The first, in December, will take them through Western Canada, and the second, in March, will pit them against the three California teams. The Bruins will wrap up their regular season on April 15th at home against the New Jersey Devils.

The Boston Bruins won their first playoff run since 2021 last season and will look to continue that success during the 2024-25 NHL season, which begins Oct. 8 for the Original Six club.
