ATV Accident Claims Two Young LivesATV Accident Claims Two Young Lives A tragic ATV accident near Norman, Oklahoma, has resulted in the deaths of two children. On Sunday around 4 p.m., 31-year-old Kendra Mann was operating a Polaris Ranger ATV at Happyland ATV Park when the incident occurred. Seven passengers ranging in age from 8 months to 6 years were onboard. The two adults, as well as a 6-year-old and 3-year-old child, were reportedly uninjured. However, a 2-year-old boy and an 8-month-old boy were trapped for 20 minutes beneath the vehicle. Emergency personnel freed them and transported them to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the 8-month-old succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, while the 2-year-old boy passed away on Wednesday. According to Oklahoma State Police, the investigation is ongoing to determine the driver’s condition, seat belt usage, and the cause of the crash. Helmets were not being worn at the time of the accident. State troopers received assistance at the scene from EMSTAT, Norman police, and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department.

NORMAN — Oklahoma State Police say two children are dead after an ATV accident that occurred near Norman on Sunday.

According to state police, the crash happened around 4 p.m. at Happyland ATV Park, near the South Canadian River, a mile west of Norman in Cleveland County.

According to OHP, 31-year-old Kendra Mann, 31, of Newalla, was driving a Polaris Ranger ATV at the time of the incident. Her passengers were Kelsey Drummer, 26, and minors ranging in age from 8 months to 6 years, all of Newalla.

The two adults and a 6-year-old and 3-year-old were not injured. A 2-year-old boy and an 8-month-old boy were trapped for 20 minutes before being freed by emergency personnel and taken to Norman Healthplex. The 8-month-old was pronounced dead Sunday and the 2-year-old Wednesday.

OHP said the driver’s condition, seat belt use and the cause of the crash are still under investigation. Helmets were not being worn. State troopers were assisted at the scene by EMSTAT, Norman police and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department.
