Admission to Henry Park will incur a charge. However, for those seeking alternative viewing options, downtown Vernon provides ample vantage points from which to witness the spectacle. The fireworks display will commence after 9:15 PM, provided sky conditions permit. Its vibrant hues and thunderous explosions are sure to thrill and amaze spectators of all ages. In the event of inclement weather, the fireworks have been scheduled to take place on July 10th as a rain date. Residents are encouraged to come prepared with blankets and chairs to enhance their comfort while enjoying the show. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable evening. The July 9th fireworks display is a testament to the vibrant spirit and community pride that characterize Vernon. 4-6 – Annual fireworks on Lake Compounce.
4 – The “Great American Boom” fireworks spectacle in New Britain.
5 – Fireworks with the Hartford Yard Goats.
5 – Talcott Mountain Music Festival: (rainy date July 6), the Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents its annual “Celebrate America” concert, led by esteemed Hartford Symphony Orchestra Music Director Carolyn Kuan. The patriotic extravaganza, accompanied by a fireworks display, will feature a guest artist yet to be announced.
6- Manchester Fireworks/Dutch Fogarty Independence Day Celebration: The event will be held on the grounds of CT State Community College Manchester (Manchester Community College). Admission and parking for the event are free, but those who are able to make a donation to help cover the cost will have the opportunity at the parking lot entrances. The James “Dutch” Fogarty Fourth of July Celebration committee will celebrate 39 years of legendary live music, kids zone activities, market stalls, food, family, friends, and fireworks fun. This annual gathering begins at 4:00 PM and continues until the last rocket lights up the sky at 9:55 PM.
5-7 – Enfield 4th of July Celebration: A three-day, free 4th of July celebration featuring music, a parade, races, demonstrations, children’s rides and games.
9 – July in the Sky, Vernon: Viewing areas complete with games, music, and community organization booths will be set up in Downtown Rockville and Henry Park. Park admission is charged. Rain date is Wednesday, July 10. Activities begin at 6:00 PM at both locations, and fireworks begin after 9:15 PM if the sky is dark enough.
