That winter before (Modern Family) pilot season, my wife and I seriously talked about how I could do something different. Auditioning was just too much for me. I had used up all my determination turning 40 and auditioning.
You do five or six auditions a week and most of them are rejections. My wife got rejected early on. She still loves performing, but the business is so weird and hard. I was in a similar boat and I didn’t know if I could do it.
But fortunately, Burrell managed to land a cherished role on the mockumentary sitcom for which he would receive multiple Primetime Emmy nominations and win two. And the rest is history.

While this may just be an innocent trip down memory lane, rumors of a possible reboot have been swirling around the internet, especially after another cast member hinted at something similar a few months ago.
