A teenage cyclist has been injured after a collision with a Co-op supermarket in Warwickshire. Police said the incident happened behind the Co-op store in Loxley Close, Wellesbourne.

“A vehicle, believed to be a white VW Polo or VW Golf, collided with a young teenager on a bicycle behind the Co-operative supermarket,” a Warwickshire Police spokesman said.

“It was reported that the female driver stopped at the scene of the crime but then drove away. Police are now trying to identify the driver.”

The spokesman added that the cyclist had minor injuries. Officers are now keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 5:30 and 6pm.

“Anyone with information or dashcam footage which could assist with the investigation is asked to contact Warwickshire Police by emailing [email protected] quoting collision reference 1460985. Alternatively, call 101 quoting reference 283 of 14 June 2024,” the spokesperson said.
