Beatrice A. Neyer, 94, of Allentown, PA, formerly of Kutztown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Parkland Manor. She was the beloved wife of Irvin H. Neyer for 67 years, who predeceased her in 2017. Beatrice was born in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and spent most of her life in Douglassville, PA, where she raised her four sons. Known for her exceptional culinary skills, she was particularly renowned for her delectable pies, with Shoo-Fly Pie being her favorite. Beatrice was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kutztown, PA. She leaves behind her sons, Raymond Stoudt (Margaret) of Allentown, Robert Neyer (Robin) of Roanoke, VA, and David Neyer (Debbie) of Pottstown. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Beatrice was predeceased by her son, Ronald B. Neyer. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the adjacent mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 West Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530, in Beatrice’s memory. Beatrice was born on July 15, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Helen (nee Smith) Kirschner. She graduated from Holy Child Catholic High School in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, in 1959. Following high school, Beatrice attended St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1963. After graduating, she worked as a writer and editor for several local magazines and newspapers. In 1967, Beatrice married William Neyer, Jr., and together they raised two children, William III and Karen. The family moved to Trappe in 1972, where Beatrice became active in the community. Beatrice was a long-time member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Women’s Guild. She was also a volunteer for the Trappe Historical Society and the Berwyn Fire Company Auxiliary. Beatrice was known for her sharp wit, kind heart, and unwavering faith. She loved spending time with her family, reading, and gardening. She was also an avid traveler and enjoyed visiting new places. Beatrice is survived by her husband, William; children, William III and Karen (Andrew) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Zimmerman; and siblings, Frank Kirschner and Helen Marie (Ron) Boyer. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Jean (Dick) Burke. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 230 Finnigan Way, Rosemont, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church or the Trappe Historical Society.
