Stevens, former frontman of Noiseworks and INXS, enthralled the audience with iconic hits such as “Take Me Back” and “No Lies.” He also delivered a rousing rendition of INXS classics like “Need You Tonight” and “Never Tear Us Apart.” Ian Moss, another Australian rock legend, presented a curated set featuring solo hits, covers, and Cold Chisel anthems, including “River Bow” and “Tucker’s Daughter.” Vanessa Amorosi made her debut appearance on the Big Red Bash stage, captivating the crowd with her soulful vocals. Festival favorites Sarah McLeod and Chocolate Starfish also delivered memorable performances, along with Ash Grunwald, Hayley Mary, Fanny Lumsden, and Tina Turner Tribute. A fitting finale saw Stevens, McLeod, Adam Thompson, and Hayley Mary unite for a spirited rendition of INXS and Jimmy Barnes’ “Good Times.” “It’s a complex mix of emotions when the festival comes to an end,” said Greg Donovan, festival founder and Outback Music Festival Group Director. “Excitement at completing another successful event and sadness that it’s over.” Donovan praised the energy of the artists and audience and highlighted the year’s many memorable moments. Despite the vastness of the setting, the festival organizers managed to create a bustling mini-city that would soon vanish, leaving only memories in the hearts of all who attended.

Rocker Jon Stevens took to the stage to headline the finale of the Big Red Bash in Birdsville, along with other renowned Australian artists.

The Noiseworks and INXS Collection gig was a three-day outback extravaganza and to close it all Stevens played iconic hits like Take me back, No lies and INXS classics like “Need You Tonight” and Never Tear Us Apart.

Australian rock icon Ian Moss also played a carefully curated set of solo hits, covers and Cold Chisel anthems with River Bow, Phone booth And Tucker’s daughter.

Big Red Bashers also saw fantastic performances from Vanessa Amorosi, making her first appearance on the outback stage, and Bash favourites Sarah McLeod and Chocolate Starfish, as well as Ash Grunwald, Hayley Mary, Fanny Lumsden and Tina Turner Tribute.

Stevens, Sarah McLeod, Adam Thompson and Hayley Mary came together for a rocking finale, which brought the roof off with Good times by INXS and Jimmy Barnes.

“It’s always a mix of extreme happiness and relief that we’ve delivered another successful event when we reach the end of day three, and sadness that it’s coming to an end,” said festival founder and Outback Music Festival Group Director Greg Donovan.

“We run on adrenaline and the energy of our artists and our amazing audience during the event, and before we know it, an event that has been twelve months in the making is over.

“This year had so many highlights, we will cherish the many new memories we made with all our festival goers. And within days of our last outing you won’t even know we created a mini city in this pristine outback setting.”
