After lunch, Owen Beck, Curtis Jones, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Kostas Tsimikas joined for the afternoon session. Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo are expected to join the full pre-season training program after Egypt and Japan did not call them up for the Olympics. Salah and Endo were considered potential players who were too old for their national U23 teams, which will compete in Paris from July 24 to August 10. However, as the Olympic Games are not sanctioned by FIFA, clubs are not obligated to send players to the tournament. Following discussions, Salah and Endo will remain at Liverpool to prepare for the upcoming season and are expected to join the club’s pre-season tour of America later this month. Liverpool’s tour begins on July 23 in Pittsburgh, where they will play their first friendly against Real Betis. The Reds will commence their Premier League campaign on Saturday, August 17, against Ipswich Town.
