Carlin vs. Joe – Hour 1 – End of a DynastyCarlin vs. Joe – Hour 1 – End of a Dynasty ESPN.co.uk Welcome to the first hour of this week’s Carlin vs. Joe. The topic of discussion: the end of the Patriots’ dynasty. For two decades, the New England Patriots were the most dominant team in the NFL. They won six Super Bowls and appeared in nine. But after a disappointing end to the 2022 season, it’s clear that the Patriots’ dynasty is over. Carlin: I think it’s finally time to admit that the Patriots’ dynasty is over. They haven’t won a playoff game since 2019, and they missed the playoffs altogether last year. Joe: I agree. The Patriots are a good team, but they’re not the same team they used to be. They don’t have the same firepower on offense, and their defense isn’t as dominant as it used to be. Carlin: I think the biggest problem for the Patriots is that they’re too reliant on Tom Brady. He’s 45 years old, and he’s not the same player he used to be. Joe: I agree. Brady is still a great quarterback, but he’s not the same player he was 10 years ago. The Patriots need to find a new quarterback if they want to get back to the Super Bowl. Carlin: I think the Patriots’ dynasty is over, but I don’t think it’s the end of the Patriots. They have a good young coach in Bill Belichick, and they have some talented players. I think they can still be a competitive team, but they’re not going to be the same team they were with Brady. Joe: I agree. The Patriots are still a good team, but they’re not the same team they used to be. I think they can still be a competitive team, but they’re not going to be the same team they were with Brady.
