Edited Video: Karine Jean-Pierre Responded to Reporter’s QuestionsEdited Video: Karine Jean-Pierre Responded to Reporter’s Questions A viral video on Instagram falsely claims that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre walked away without answering a reporter’s question. The video has been edited to remove more than 10 minutes of a briefing, omitting Jean-Pierre’s full response and follow-up answers. Original Briefing The video comes from a White House press conference on May 28. Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about a Politico story suggesting Democrats were panicking over President Joe Biden’s polls and the stakes of the 2024 election. Jean-Pierre’s Response Jean-Pierre responded that Biden “has never forgotten where he comes from” and understands the struggles of everyday Americans. She then discussed Biden’s economic policies. Follow-Up Questions Doocy asked Jean-Pierre two additional questions about Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. Again, Jean-Pierre provided ответа before moving on to other reporters. Conclusion The Instagram video is misleading. It presents an incomplete and doctored version of the event, creating the false impression that Jean-Pierre refused to answer a reporter’s question. In reality, she responded fully to Doocy’s inquiries and other reporters’ questions during the briefing.

Jean-Pierre answered Doocy’s questions about polls, Hunter Biden

The Instagram clip is from a White House press conference on May 28, and the original video shows the full exchange between Doocy and Jean-Pierre about President Joe Biden. She asked what Doocy meant by the “freakout” question.

“There’s a Politico story. It sounds like Democrats out there — the quote is, ‘Biden’s stubbornly bad polls and the stakes of the election are causing the panic,’” Doocy said.

Jean-Pierre responded: “So again, I’m cautious. I’m not going to comment on the 2024 election. I will say this: the president has never forgotten where he comes from, who he is. He understands what the American people are going through as they sit at the kitchen table,” Jean-Pierre said.

She went on to talk about Biden’s economic policies. Doocy then asked Jean-Pierre two questions about Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. Jean-Pierre answered both questions before moving on to another reporter.

USA TODAY previously debunked a similar video in which Jean-Pierre was manipulated into leaving abruptly instead of answering questions from Doocy.
