Born into a loving family in the heart of Utah, Virginia’s spirit blossomed on the family farm in Idaho, where she forged fond memories with her siblings. After graduating from Burley High School, Virginia’s passion for flowers led her to a career at Klink’s Florist. It was there that she met the love of her life, Richard Fenton, at a lively YSA dance. Their love story unfolded in marriage on August 28, 1956, at the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they welcomed three precious children into their lives: Brenda, Rick, and Gina. Richard’s military service brought adventure and new experiences as they traveled far and wide. Virginia remained a constant pillar of strength, supporting her family wherever their journey took them. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Virginia served faithfully in various roles. Her unwavering faith guided her every step and inspired her to live a life of compassion and service. Virginia’s greatest joy was being a loving mother. She dedicated her life to her children, sacrificing her own needs for their well-being. She instilled in them the values of unconditional love, empathy, and a desire to make a difference in the world. In her later years, Virginia found comfort and support at Valencia at Draper. The staff and her dedicated caregivers provided her with exceptional love and tender care. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Liz and Shauna of Renew Hospice for their unwavering support throughout Virginia’s final days. Virginia’s legacy lives on in her three children, her beloved sister, twelve cherished grandchildren, and thirty-four adored great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed via Zoom. Virginia’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
