At the groundbreaking ceremony, ASR Africa Managing Director/CEO Dr. Ubon Udoh emphasized that this intervention was made possible through collaboration with the Customs Service under the Security Sector Support Grant. He revealed that during the previous administration, the organization allocated N10 billion to support security agencies in Nigeria, with N500 million specifically designated for the NCS, which the Service opted to invest in constructing this facility. The Comptroller General (CG) of the NCS, Adewale Adeniyi, expressed his appreciation to the ASR Initiative for choosing his agency as the recipient of this generous support. He emphasized that the facility would not only benefit NCS staff but also the surrounding communities. “Quality health care is a critical pillar of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda and a priority area of President Tinubu’s administration. We are delighted to be a part of this project,” stated the CG.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Bauchi, ASR Africa Managing Director/CEO Dr. Ubon Udoh explained that the intervention was carried out in collaboration with the Customs Service under the Security Sector Support Grant.
He said that under the last administration, the body donated N10 billion to support security agencies in the country. Udoh clarified that out of the sum, N500 million was allocated to the NCS while the Service decided to build the facility.
In his remarks, the Comptroller General (GG) of the NCS, Adewale Adeniyi, commended the ASR Initiative for considering his agency. He said the facility would serve both staff and host communities.
“Quality health care is one of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 agenda and also a priority area of President Tinubu’s administration. We are happy to join the project,” the CG stated.
