John McLean, Dave Valentine and Eamonn Terry, all from Fermoy Rifle Club, were on site last weekend.

Fermoy Rifle Club hosted the International Irish Open Target Shooting Competition at its Ballyhooly facility last weekend. It was an exceptionally busy few days for club members, who were gearing up for this prestigious event.

Participants, including teams from England and Germany, were very pleased with the facilities, which are among the best in the country.

MORE THAN 3 DECADES ON THE ROAD

Fermoy Rifle Club was founded 32 years ago by a small group of shooting enthusiasts. Over those three decades the club has grown steadily and attracted members from a wide area. Long-serving secretary Kieran Barry said he was delighted with how things went last weekend.
