(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Lithuanian government announced on Wednesday that it has allocated one million euros for the restoration of the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, which was hit by Russian missiles on July 8.

This was announced by Lithuanian Finance Minister Gintarė Skaistė during a government meeting, Ukrinform reports, citing LRT.

“We have received a request for assistance in rebuilding the hospital that was shelled in Ukraine, and we propose to allocate 1 million euros to help Ukrainian residents affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation. We want to help Ukraine rebuild its destroyed infrastructure as soon as possible. We invite other countries to join us,” Skaistė said.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė wrote on the social media platform X that the Lithuanian government “has allocated 1 million euros to support the reconstruction of the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kiev and other medical facilities that were brutally and deliberately shelled by Russia.”

She stressed that the only way to stop the terrorist state is to increase support for Ukraine’s victory.

According to Ukrinform, Russian forces launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine on the morning of July 8.
