Lance M. Ohler, 65, passed away on Friday evening, July 5, 2024, at his home.

He was born on January 16, 1959 in Gettysburg, PA and was the son of the late Fern R. and Dorothy A. (Sanders) Ohler.

He was a long time member of the Greenmount Fire Department, a member of the Gettysburg Eagles 1562 and the American Legion 121 in Emmitsburg, MD. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his good friends and family. Lance enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dog Benji.

Lance is survived by his two children, Daniel A. Ohler and his wife April, Kevin R. Ohler; his two precious grandchildren, McKayla M. and Daniel A. Ohler, Jr.; four siblings, Victoria A. Ohler of Gettysburg, Nina M. Walter and her husband Michael of Gettysburg, Richard L. Ohler of Gettysburg, Brian J. Ohler of Hughesville, MD, and his girlfriend Janet Birch of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Olswfski; his brother, Terry Ohler; and his stepmother, Jane Appler-Ohler.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Greenmount Fire Station3095 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Greenmount Fire Department3095 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325; or the Monahan Funeral Home125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325 to help defray funeral expenses.
