“Narendra Modi ji, yesterday you wove a web of lies about providing jobs in Mumbai. I would like to remind you again what you said when you announced NRA – National Recruitment Agency. In August 2020, you said that NRA would prove to be a boon for crores of youth. Through Common Eligibility Test, it will eliminate multiple exams and save valuable time and resources. It will also give a big boost to transparency,” Kharge said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Kharge was reacting to Prime Minister Modi’s July 13 statement in Mumbai, in which he cited a recent Reserve Bank of India report on employment, saying the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is committed to stability and growth.

He had said that the creation of eight crore new jobs in the last three to four years has silenced those spreading “false stories” about unemployment.

“Those who spread false stories are enemies of investment, infrastructure development and the growth of the country. Their policies betray the youth and hamper employment. Now they are being exposed because people reject their lies,” the prime minister said.
The congressional leader also posed three questions to the prime minister in his message: “Why hasn’t the NRA conducted a single investigation in the last four years? Despite the fact that ₹1,517.57 crore to NRA alone ₹58 crore has been spent in 4 years. Was NRA deliberately kept inactive to deprive SC, ST, OBC and EWS youth of reservation rights?”

“NTA has committed fraud, leaked papers and cheated and NRA did not even conduct the exam! BJP-RSS has taken it upon themselves to ruin the education system and destroy the future of the youth,” he added.
