Before her re-signing with the company, a new report has revealed that WWE star Natalya never became a free agent.
After weeks of speculation, PWInsider reported that Natalya had signed a new deal with WWE on July 12. As previously reported, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion leaving the company was a “real possibility.”
On the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that there was interest from “the other side” in reference to All Elite Wrestling in Natalya.
However, the Hart Family member never actually entered free agency before re-signing with WWE and could not receive offers from other promotions. Meltzer said:
“She re-signed. There was interest from the other side. She did not enter free agency – her contract had not expired yet.”
“And WWE made sure to lock her up before her contract expired. She’d gotten a really good offer, I think it was back in May, but she just re-signed.”
A new report has revealed that “multiple companies” have expressed interest in Natalya’s husband TJ Wilson, which you can read at this link.
