Satwiksairaj and Chirag are in Group C, where their toughest opponent is Indonesian world number 6, made up of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto. They also have Germany’s world number 31, made up of Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel, and world number 43, Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar of France in the group.
Interestingly, the Indian duo has gone three matches unbeaten against Alfian-Ardianto. Their last win against the Indonesian duo was in 2023. However, the combination of Alfian and Ardianto won the All England Open this year. As for Corvee and Labar, the Indian duo has played the French duo twice in their career and won both times.

17 pairs are divided into four groups in the men’s doubles badminton at the Paris Olympics. While three groups have four pairs each, the fourth and final group has five pairs. The draw for the men’s doubles was postponed on Friday due to a hearing by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on the number of pairs in the draw.
The sport’s world governing body was forced to postpone the draw after CAS instructed the BWF to recommend to the International Olympic Committee that Corv e-Labar be included in the Olympic Games. The inclusion of the French pair meant that the men’s doubles draw was revised to 17 pairs, rather than the 16 pairs that originally qualified.
