A 29-year-old woman, who was returning home after filing a complaint at the police station, was allegedly raped by a ride-hailing platform driver and two of his colleagues in Hyderabad, police said on Monday.
The incident took place in the early hours of July 13, when the woman booked an auto-rickshaw through a cab aggregator to reach a police station. She was to file a complaint against her husband regarding a domestic dispute.

After recording her statement, she took the same auto-rickshaw back home.
According to the FIR, the driver took a longer route and picked up two of his colleagues from a wine shop who were drinking alcohol. They even forced the woman to drink alcohol. The driver then drove the vehicle to a deserted area.
There the men threatened her, forced her into a car and raped her, the complaint said.
Later the woman managed to escape and reached the main road. She then turned 100 and called the police to file a complaint.
Police have arrested the driver, while the other two suspects are still at large. Further investigation is underway.
