The incident occurred around 12:16 a.m. Tuesday outside an AutoZone in Chester, a suburb of Philadelphia. One of the suspects, wearing a blue safety vest, and the other, wearing a reflective vest, ambushed the driver with long weapons and attacked him. According to police, the suspects made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars. The driver was not injured. The suspects fled the scene in a Nissan Pathfinder with a laminated paper tag reading LLN-2328. The vehicle has black borders around the license plate, black rims, and a roof rack. Authorities said they are looking for another vehicle with the same Pennsylvania license plate number on a real plate. That vehicle was not involved in the robbery and is described as having no roof rack and a white CarMax sticker above the left tail light. The suspects are still armed. Anyone who sees them should call 911 immediately. This is at least the third incident involving an armored truck in the Philadelphia area in the past year. Officials said the incident happened around 12:16 a.m. Tuesday outside an AutoZone in Chester, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia.
The brazen crime took place just a hundred yards from Chester Police Headquarters.
One of the suspects, who was wearing a blue safety vest, and the other suspect, who was wearing a reflective vest, ambushed the driver with long weapons and attacked him.
According to police, the two men made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars.
According to detectives, the driver was not injured in the robbery.

Authorities said the suspects arrived and fled in a Nissan Pathfinder with a laminated paper tag reading LLN-2328. The vehicle has black borders around the license plate, black rims and a roof rack.
There is a nearly identical vehicle with the same Pennsylvania license plate number on a real license plate, authorities said. That vehicle was not involved in the robbery. It is described as having no roof rack and a white CarMax sticker above the left tail light.

The suspects are reportedly still armed. Anyone who sees them should call 911 immediately.
This is at least the third incident involving an armored truck in the Philadelphia area in the past year.
In March, three suspects pulled over a security guard driving a Loomis armored car in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood. The group assaulted the driver before fleeing with her gun and $2,500.
And last October, another Brinks driver was shot by two suspects who fled with his gun and a bag of cash while the driver was making a delivery to a Bank of America on Columbus Boulevard in South Philadelphia.
