Wiltshire Brewery Arkell has renewed its long-standing partnership with football club Swindon Town.

The company has signed a record deal with the club for the next three years, forming another strong partnership as the club looks to progress both on and off the pitch.

The deal includes the continued sponsorship of the Arkell’s Stand, a prominent location at The County Ground and the first thing visitors see when they enter the stadium, not only on match days but also during events and conferences.

Arkell’s Stand is of great historical importance. In 1896 Thomas Arkell donated £300 towards its construction, helping to create the football ground we know today.

Brewery Sales Director, Nick Arkell, said: “We are proud to extend our partnership with Swindon Town Football Club. Our commitment to the club remains unwavering and as Swindon’s longest-running business it feels natural to strengthen our relationship with the town’s football team.

“As the club’s first sponsor, this partnership embodies our shared history and commitment to the city. We believe this is one of the longest commercial relationships ever in the English Football League and we look forward to remaining committed to supporting STFC’s ambitions, both on the pitch and as a hub for events and activities.”

James Watts, Commercial Director of Swindon Town Football Club, said: “We are delighted that Arkell’s commitment to the club remains as strong as ever, as it demonstrates a dedication to all local businesses and supporters. This reflects the vision to grow the club not only as a football stadium, but also as a venue for events such as concerts and other sporting events.”
