SAMHI Hotels, an Indian hotel owner and asset management platform, has entered into management agreements with Marriott to rebrand two of its hotels.
These properties were acquired as part of the ACIC portfolio, which included 962 rooms and additional land for development in Navi Mumbai.
The rebranding initiative will transform a 217-room hotel in Pune into a Courtyard by Marriott. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of fiscal 2026.
This move aims to reposition the hotel in the Pune market.
It is the second Courtyard by Marriott owned by SAMHI Hotels in Bengaluru.
In addition, a 114-room hotel in Jaipur will become a Tribute Portfolio hotel, also under the Marriott banner. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of fiscal 2026.

SAMHI has also converted four other ACIC hotels from franchise to management agreements with Marriott.
Ashish Jakhanwala, Chairman and Managing Director of SAMHI Hotels, said: “We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in the integration process for the ACIC portfolio. Over the years, we have demonstrated our ability to drive performance and growth through turnarounds.
“The proposed rebranding and conversion to management agreements will reposition these hotels for improved performance and greater contribution to SAMHI.”
The company currently has three global hotel operators: Marriott, IHG and Hyatt.
The company has 31 operating hotels with a total of 4,801 rooms across 13 cities in India and is also developing two more hotels, adding 461 rooms to its inventory in Kolkata and Navi Mumbai.
