WADE, NC (WTVD) — A car ended up in a drainage ditch in Cumberland County Sunday morning
It happened just before 4 a.m. near the Waffle House on Goldsboro Road in Wade.
Upon arrival, units found a Ford Expedition lying on its roof, with the hood and engine submerged in the ditch.
Emergency services had to remove the rear side window so the driver could escape.
The driver was treated by ambulance, but it is not known how serious her injuries are.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
