Cassidy, who won the 2022 Seoul E-Prix, topped the timesheets in both qualifying groups and then went on to set a blistering lap in the Super Pole shootout to secure his first pole position of the season and the third of his Formula E career. The New Zealander’s time of 1:13.110 was just 0.037 seconds faster than Edoardo Mortara of Maserati MSG Racing, who will start alongside him on the front row. Bird will start third for Jaguar, ahead of Mahindra Racing’s Lucas di Grassi and Porsche’s Jake Dennis. Champion Stoffel Vandoorne will start sixth for DS Penske, with his teammate Jean-Eric Vergne seventh. Nissan’s Sacha Fenestraz and Maximilian Guenther will start eighth and ninth respectively, with Robin Frijns rounding out the top ten for Abt Cupra. The London E-Prix will be held on Sunday, July 30, at the ExCeL London circuit. The race will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network in the United States.
