Sponsored by Talbots Law, the 5km run raised awareness and funds for Acorns, which provides palliative care and support for children with life-threatening conditions and their families. Kate Vousden, Events Manager at Acorns, expressed gratitude to the attendees and supporters. “It was incredible to witness the smiles on the faces of those who came together to support local children and families,” she said. Participants ran two laps around the Arboretum trail, facing bubble cannons at various points. They also enjoyed music, food stalls, games, and other family-friendly activities. Acorns relies on community events and donations to continue providing care to hundreds of local families. “Help for children and their families can’t wait,” Vousden emphasized.
