UNL-Peaceful Means will be co-hosting a class Mon-Thu 7/22-7/25 1-4pm in the COIL Center at CSC. The class will teach high school girls self-defense skills and the boys empowerment courses to help them face their Moment of Truths. Peaceful Means is a sexual violence prevention project through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are located on the Pine Ridge Reservation and teach these skills to the children/youth on the reservation. We would love to bring this life changing class to the youth in Chadron.
Guardians can register their high school-aged children at go.unl.edu/chadsummer through Sunday, 7/21/24. Parents will receive a $20 Virtual Visa gift card, and teens will have a chance to win $100 each day.
