The aircraft is part of the airline’s order for 16 ATR 72-600s, with 15 more aircraft scheduled to be delivered in the coming months. The ATR 72-600 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft that can accommodate up to 72 passengers. It is known for its efficiency and low operating costs, making it an ideal aircraft for short-haul flights. CEB President and CEO Lance Gokongwei said that the addition of the ATR 72-600s to the airline’s fleet will allow CEB to expand its network and offer more affordable fares to its customers. “We are excited to take delivery of our first ATR 72-600 aircraft,” said Gokongwei. “This aircraft will play a key role in our strategy to grow our domestic and regional network and offer our customers more affordable fares.” The ATR 72-600s will be used to operate flights to various destinations in the Philippines, including Bacolod, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Coron, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Naga, Ozamiz, Puerto Princesa, and Siargao. CEB is the largest airline in the Philippines, with a fleet of over 70 aircraft. The airline operates flights to over 30 destinations in the Philippines and across Asia.
