An autorickshaw driver knocked down a pedestrian in Mumbai’s Bandra on Monday. In the CCTV footage seen by Times Now, the person can be seen crossing the road when he is suddenly hit by an autorickshaw.
Pedestrian hit by auto rickshaw
Mumbai: a pedestrian lost his life after being knocked down by a auto rickshaw in Mumbai Bandra on Monday. According to Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the person was suddenly hit by the autorickshaw while he was walking to the other side of the road.
The video shows residents rushing to the aid of the pedestrian, but according to Times Now sources, the person has died.
Earlier in the day there was a collision and hit and run incident was reported from MulundMumbai, where an Audi car collided with two autorickshaws, injuring the drivers and two passengers. One of the drivers is said to be in critical condition. The driver of the Audi fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Mulund police have now seized the car and launched an investigation into the incident. Further details are awaited.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested in Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai on Thursday for allegedly sodomising a seven-year-old child, a police officer said. On July 17, a 26-year-old man named Akshay Gaikwad tricked the youth and took him to an under-construction building. The accused had unnatural sex with him, the officer of Khandeshwar police station said.
According to the police, Gaikwad has been charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The charges were levelled against Gaikwad after the boy’s parents filed a complaint, he said.
Mumbai is currently experiencing heavy rainfall, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue an orange warning for today and a yellow warning until July 25. The rainfall has led to significant disruptions in transportation, affecting BEST buses, flights at Mumbai airport, road traffic and local trains.
