Semiwon Garden is a beautiful botanical garden located along the Hangang River, about 90 minutes north of Pyeongtaek. The 180,000 square meter park is known for its beautiful lotus flowers that bloom from late June to early August, with the peak time for viewing the flowers being the first two weeks of July. This park is great for those smaller family members who love to run around freely in wide open spaces.
The best time to enjoy the garden and escape the heat is to be there when they open at 9am and then around 5pm. Expect to spend an hour to two hours wandering around and enjoying the larger than life flowers and other plant species. Make sure your camera is charged and ready; there are endless photo opportunities! In addition to the beautiful gardens, there is a museum, exhibition centre, learning experience centre and café on site.
