.Project+Bread, State Representatives Celebrate Lowell’s School Meals Program BOSTON, MA – Representatives from .Project+Bread and the Massachusetts House of Representatives recently visited Lowell High School to celebrate the success of the district’s school meals program. The program provides free and reduced-price meals to students in Lowell Public Schools, ensuring that all students have access to nutritious food during the school day. The program is funded by a combination of federal, state, and local resources. During the visit, representatives toured the high school’s cafeteria and met with students and staff involved in the program. They also discussed the challenges and successes of the program with Lowell Superintendent of Schools John Cox and other district officials. “We are incredibly proud of the work that Lowell Public Schools is doing to ensure that all students have access to healthy, nutritious meals,” said Erin McAleer, .Project+Bread’s Policy Director. “This program is making a real difference in the lives of students and their families.” State Representatives who attended the event included Rady Mom, Vanna Howard, and David Nangle.
