The origins of the margarita are a bit of a mystery, with many people vying for the honor of inventing it. This iconic drink has been around since the late 1930s and is a mix of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, often with a salted rim. If you’re a margarita fan like me, there’s one place in Oregon that you absolutely have to visit: the Margarita Factory.

One of their showstoppers is the Large Best In Town margarita. This 48-ounce behemoth features silver tequila, orange liqueur, fresh squeezed limes and ice cubes that light up.

It’s a drink meant to be shared and a conversation starter for sure. If you’re watching your calories, their Skinny Best In Town margarita is a refreshing choice with silver tequila, muddled oranges and lemons, agave and Gran Citron on the rocks.

And let’s talk about the food. Start with the bacon-wrapped shrimp – these succulent morsels are a smoky, savory treat that will have you coming back for more. Their calamari is also a must-try, perfectly crispy and tender. And the street tacos? They’re packed with authentic Mexican flavors that complement their drinks perfectly.
