Leathers is a kidney donor who received the Gift of Life at the age of 3. Despite his own health challenges, Leathers has an incredibly positive attitude and a passion for sports. He took second place in the cornhole competition and also participated in darts and bowling. Leathers’ success in the games is a testament to his determination and the support he has received from his family and the Gift of Life organization. He is an inspiration to others who are facing similar challenges. Unfortunately, Leathers will eventually need another new kidney. CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (WPVI) — At the age of 3, Brandon Leathers of Coopersburg received the Gift of Life. And with that gift, he is making his family proud with his positive attitude and athletic prowess.
Earlier this month, he joined the Philadelphia Gift of Life Team, which headed to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the 2024 Transplant Games of America.
Leathers took second place in the cornhole competition and also competed in other sports, including darts and bowling.
Now, at age 8, Leathers has been added to the list of people in need of an organ donation. He will eventually need another new kidney.
