However, a member of the public reported witnessing the stolen car driving dangerously on Finlayson Street. Integrated Canine Services assisted in locating the vehicle, and officers attempted to stop it from fleeing again. However, the suspect crashed into a police car and fled the scene. At around 9:45 p.m., the suspect drove to Oak Street in Saanich, where two VicPD police cars deliberately rammed the stolen vehicle. The suspect exited the car and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers. He is now in police custody and scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 30th. One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. No officers were seriously injured during the incident.

After entering Douglas Street, they saw the car traveling north and officers lost sight of him. A member of the public saw him after witnessing dangerous driving in the 700 block of Finlayson Street.

The suspect had gotten out of the car and tried to flee on foot, but was apprehended by officers. He is now in police custody and is due to appear in court on Tuesday, July 30.
