The result is a multi-layered musical tapestry that evokes the spirit of St. Louis and its people. The composition opens with a plaintive cello solo, representing the city’s humble beginnings and its struggle for identity. As the orchestra joins in, the music builds in intensity, reflecting the city’s growth and its role as a major industrial and cultural center.
