The massive blaze, fueled by high winds and dry brush, spread rapidly, consuming multiple structures and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. According to fire officials, the fire erupted shortly after 3 p.m. in the Shadow Creek Ranch neighborhood, near Legacy Drive and Alma Road. Within minutes, the flames engulfed several homes and spread to nearby vegetation. Thick black smoke filled the air as firefighters desperately battled to contain the blaze. Over 100 firefighters from multiple departments were called to the scene. “It’s a very large fire that is still expanding at this time,” Frisco Fire Department Chief Mark Piland told reporters. “We are prioritizing the safety of residents and firefighters.” Residents in the affected area were advised to evacuate immediately. Evacuation centers were set up at Frisco High School and City Hall. “I heard this loud explosion and ran outside to see my neighbor’s house on fire,” said resident Sherry Martinez. “I grabbed my kids and left as fast as I could.” As of Tuesday evening, the fire had destroyed at least 10 homes and damaged several others.
