IHIT Takes Over Investigation After Incident Near Golden Ears Way The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over an investigation following an incident near Golden Ears Way in Surrey, British Columbia. On Saturday evening, around 8:30 p.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Initial investigations by the RCMP revealed that the incident may have involved multiple suspects. IHIT has since been called in to assist with the investigation due to its expertise in handling serious violent crimes. “We are still in the early stages of this investigation,” said Sergeant Frank Jang of IHIT. “We are working to gather information and determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.” IHIT investigators are conducting interviews with witnesses and collecting evidence from the scene. They are also appealing to the public for any information that may assist in their investigation. “We understand that this incident may be concerning to the community,” said Sgt.
